Back after spending the weekend camping with Boy Scouts up in the NC mountains. We spent Saturday whitewater rafting on the Nantahala river. I had forgotten how much I missed being on the river and it also reminded me of a few facts while rafting.
- You can not overpower the river now no matter how much you try.
- It is best to make minor corrections and use the force of the river to move you along
- A raft works best if all paddlers work in unison and the power is balanced on both sides of the raft
- And last no matter how much you try – you are going to get wet sometimes.
Makes me think how much of this I can apply to life.
